Uh...

It is really well drawn and what little IS animated was done well also, but really there isn't much merit to just floating up and down without anything happening. I was really expecting them to burst out and start attacking people or something. I was a little dissapointed in the fact they didn't. :(

Caecilius responds:

It's cool, dawg. You should check out some of mine and Grumio's other flashes in the series.

Quality

The saving grace of this will be the quantity of them together, without that there is not much merit.
The dbz was probably the most amusing.
But my advice is to focus on the quality, thing will not get blammed that way.

AwesomeRangersPlus responds:

yea some of our flash comics we just been focusing on quality

Weeeell

As it's been said for a first flash I think it is well done. Of course that doesn't automatically make it "OMG AMAZING" but compared to the stupid things people usually make without putting effort into anything you are doing well.
Now then, there is nothing wrong with having no sound, I know how hard it is to get it myself.
I would advise practicing on frame by frame animation, it takes alot more work but of course it comes out better.
And you are relying a little too heavily and internet "funny" slang phrases like "ZOMG PL0X" and all that. It can be amusing when used cleverly but you are on the verge of excess/annoying.
It was still a bit amusing, as someone who once played runescape. So I'd say you have a general idea of what you are doing and are already at a certain level of qualiy on your very first flash. Keep at it.

Thanks for a great review, ill keep your tips in mind!

poor execution

The drawing/animation quality was extremely sub-par. If it wasn't for the music I would have had no idea half the time that it was a caramelidansen flash.

I'd say the shining point in the flash was the voice sychronization to the "oooaaa" but really that is the only thing worth any sort of merit in this.

Nintendo-pie responds:

Ok, I'll take that into account in the future. The drawing's not great because I, myself , am not great with a mouse and that's all I had. This was also a slightly experimental flash to check out the ins and outs of flash animation.

Can't say I enjoyed it

Where can I start, in a "comic" animation like this that doesn't have an intense amount of animation you really need to focus on the drawing and art quality since most of it is tweens. But all your drawings are badly drawn "anime" stuff. There is little merit in the animation or art, though the flow isn't badly done. The way words come up and some of the visual effects are good (not well drawn but good angles and such)
The voice acting was good, which is probably the only other really positive thing I can say about this.
The characters and story were as bland as rice. I found myself hating the characters as the story went on. They are all very lifeless and any personality is so artificially implanted onto them it feels unatural.
I'd say work on your writing and drawing skills, because you already have a good sense for flash dynamics (besides what feels like an overabundance of tweens).

omegafinal responds:

That's mainly the fault of the tracing from Illustrator CS3, which I'm still practicing on using (also to judge on how clean my inking is). Also using raster images like .PNGs were inflating the file size. The characters I can defend, saying that I want to have some kind of evolution for them up to the end, so by that time, they won't be bland.

I liked it

The animation, while simple, was well done. You had a great dynamic going with the camera. It wasn't too short and just neat enough to keep me interested the whole time. Spiffy

stickbob123 responds:

Thanks for the review! only one question, who says spiffy?

excuses

Just because you say "the animation is supposed to be bad that's what makes it funny" doesn't really excuse the poor animation, and it is kind of ironic since this isn't really funny either.
The voice over was difficult to understand, but it seemed a bit too lowbrow even for me.
The part with the repetitive shooting of scientists was relatively amusing, but overall I'd say it isn't very good.

VioletVulpine responds:

fucku

I like timelapses

I just don't think it is the sort of thing that will be appreciated here. However if you do make more I do recommend "better" artistic quality, this isn't horrible but it isn't really that amazing either.

jeski responds:

I will try harder and use more detail if I even do another timelapse.

Ooo Aaa

I love the way you've drawn it, the music is nice, overall I think it is really nice. I like it, good job :]
I almost wish it were longer, it gets interesting and then ends which is almost dissapointing, but it doesn't detract from the animation at all.

Also just so you know: The music keeps going when it is over and if you replay it it overlaps.

wiilofgod responds:

yeahhh I know the whole looping thing...thnx for telling me tho..is just me being lazy. same for the dissapointing endindg.....ill finish it next week hopefully.
